Why add CA to your project?

Construction Administration (CA) protects the design intent and helps your contractor deliver what the plans require. We answer RFIs, review change orders and substitutions, and provide clarifications so the field team has what they need to keep moving. Think of CA as your design advocate during construction.

Included in the fixed‑fee package

How CA works

01

Kickoff

Share contacts, schedule, and approved drawings. Establish the RFI and change‑order process.
02

RFIs

Contractor submits questions; we respond with clarifications and sketches when needed.

Site Visits

Two milestones—typically framing/meps rough‑in and finish. Field Reports issued within 48 hours.
04

Change Orders

We review scope, cost, and alignment with plans/specs before you sign.
05

Close‑Out

Confirm punch‑list items related to design intent and archive CA documents.

Simple, fixed pricing

Our standard CA package fits most single‑family remodels and garage‑to‑ADU conversions. Need more coverage? Add items à la carte at transparent rates.

Fixed‑Fee Package

$1000

À la carte add‑ons

Prices reflect typical SFR/ADU scope; larger or complex projects may require a custom proposal.

FAQs

What is an RFI?

An RFI (Request for Information) is a formal question from the contractor when something in the drawings/specs needs clarification. We review and answer RFIs so construction can proceed confidently.

Is CA the same as supervising construction?

No. CA maintains design intent and documentation; the contractor remains responsible for supervision, safety, means, and methods.

How are the two site visits scheduled?

We coordinate with you and your contractor around key milestones—commonly after rough‑in and before finishes. Extra visits are available à la carte.

What happens if field conditions require changes?

We’ll advise on options, provide sketches for minor adjustments, and review change orders for compliance. If permits must be updated, we can handle re‑submittals.

Can you attend city inspections?

We can attend as an add‑on if helpful, but inspection and approval decisions remain with the AHJ.

Payment terms?

Fixed‑fee due 50% at CA kickoff and 50% after the second site visit. Add‑ons billed as incurred.

Ready to add CA to your project?

Tell us your contractor’s info and your construction start date. We’ll send a one‑page CA Agreement for e‑signature.
